How a female software engineer uncovered the horrifying left-wing cult of censorship and bullying that pervades the tech industry

Marlene Jaeckel, an Atlanta-based scientist and software engineer who specializes in the development of various technologies for Google and Apple platforms, recently participated in a panel at the Social Media Neutrality Panel at the Newseum in Washington D.C. Jaeckel sat alongside a number of prominent conservative figures, including Jim Holt of The Gateway Pundit, Pamela Geller of The Geller Report, Margaret Howell of Rightside Broadcasting, and Oleg Atbashian from The People’s Cube, and covered a wide range of topics, including everything from the current tech climate to social media bias.

Jaeckel spent a significant amount of her time at the event discussing how she had worked in Silicon Valley back in 2009, and witnessed firsthand the flagrant bias and political censorship of all points of view that don’t align with the progressive agenda. In addition, Jaeckel found herself being treated differently than other employees for the sheer fact that she considers herself to be a conservative.

As The Gateway Pundit noted, Jaeckel “could not even attend a conservative rally in her free time without facing mounting attacks from those in power who would threaten to ‘destroy’ her career.” Additionally, “Jaeckel was banned from forums and groups she belonged to” and “banned from speaking at events that she previously was invited to present at.” If what Marlene Jaeckel said at this event has any truth to it (which it most certainly does), then it sure seems as though Silicon Valley is out to specifically target and trash the conservatives that work there.

But it’s not just conservative employees that Silicon Valley is out to get; it’s conservatives in general. Over the past several years, there have been countless stories of people who hold right-of-center views having their voices suppressed or silenced by Google, as well as various social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. In most cases, this sort of political censorship is a clear violation of the freedom of speech and the First Amendment, but Constitutional limits are of little concern to the liberals that run Silicon Valley. (Related: Google insiders are now warning that outright censorship of the Internet is Google’s top priority… and everyone has been intimidated into silence.)

As a matter of fact, the censorship of conservatives on the Internet and social media has become such a serious problem that it has drawn the attention of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai, who used part of his speech on net neutrality last November to specifically condemn Twitter for the site’s decision to block a pro-life ad from GOP Rep. Marsha Blackburn.

“Two months ago, Twitter blocked Representative Marsha Blackburn from advertising her Senate campaign launch video because it featured a pro-life message,” Pai said at the time. “Before that, during the so-called Day of Action, Twitter warned users that a link to a statement by one company on the topic of Internet regulation ‘may be unsafe.’”

Pai also criticized Twitter’s “double standard when it comes to suspending or de-verifying conservative users’ accounts as opposed to those of liberal users,” which happens to be an issue that has been covered extensively by Natural News over the past few years. (Related: If Facebook and Google are not regulated, their politically-motivated censorship will drive America to open warfare in the streets.)

How Silicon Valley treats its conservative employees is absolutely detestable, and quite frankly, the way in which they censor right-of-center content on the Internet is a direct threat to our liberty. If we the people don’t speak out and expose this authoritarian power grab, then we may very well wake up one day and wonder why we let our freedoms slip away from us.
